Kryla founder Oleksandr Orak and Honorary Consul of Ukraine to Louisiana Edward T. Hayes organized a rally that took place in Lafayette Square. About one hundred people gathered including members of the New Orleans City Council, Jewish Federation, and Louisiana’s Consular Corps, to show support for the people of Ukraine and to oppose the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Several people in attendance had family members in Ukraine or Poland where at the time over a million Ukrainian refugees have fled.
